“Hidden from view behind the buildings traditional façade, the finished extension is an elegant piece of modern contemporary glass architecture. It completely reinvents the feel and atmosphere of the previously dark and cramped servants’ quarters; all within the rich and poignant historical context of the site.”
The result was a neutral but spacious and airy kitchen. Even though the space is the same, the atmosphere is completely different. The kitchen, now part of the dining area, is unrecognizable and by far more stylish than its previous version.
Her loom was custom built by John Bettencourt. The size allows her to create a rug up to five feet wide- the length can be as long as she wants. As a one person operation, she makes her rugs alone from start to finish.
