You’ve got a high ceiling in the living room and a sea of white colour on the walls, connecting the interior with the exterior through pivoting windows. Taking into account the fact that this is a couple’s house, the entire architectural perspective is quite unusual. But then again, isn’t this the beauty of it?
A home is about the way it makes you feel. It’s about safety, comfort, warmth and a certain type of atmosphere that distresses you and fills you with happiness and unmeasurable joy. We’ve bumped into this project, the Village House located in northern Sjælland, in Denmark.
Even though this house was recently built, the designers did their best in respecting the architecture and tradition of the surrounding constructions. Exposed stone formations, white picket fences and exposed timber are of strong visual effect. You are looking at a fresh, simple and beautiful home with charming interior details, perfectly integrated in its environment. Would you “trade” a modern home with contemporary details on a traditional crib such as the one below?
